Strategic IT Governance / IT Service Management mission in food industry (Netherlands)

November 2011

A client in the food industry in the Netherlands was facing challenges in setting up its IT service management function. Additionally, the client wanted to improve the strategic alignment between business and IT: in the future, IT should better meet the business requirements and better contribute to achieving the business' strategic objectives.

Adjugo conducted a strategic mission to help this client in setting the first steps. The objective of the mission was to provide the client with a. the theoretical background of IT Governance and IT Service Management and the latest developments therein and b. to provide input as to what can be done best, to get this implemented in their specific situation.

Business continuity management in a major industrial group

November 2011

A multinational manufacturing company headquartered in Belgium embarked on a project aimed at reviewing the organisation´s approach to business continuity management (BCM) and developing a coherent BCM strategy and plan. The first phase of this project comprised an audit of the company´s existing business continuity plans in order to assess the effectiveness of the technical solutions and disaster recovery measures that had recently been implemented.

ADJUGO was commissioned by the company´s IT service provider to carry out this audit, because of its strategic consulting capability and expert business-IT alignment perspective. ADJUGO established the business impact of all key applications in the client´s IT environment through a focused impact analysis.

It then assessed the level of coverage in relation to identified business risks and proposed a number of actions to address persisting vulnerabilities and implement a holistic BCM plan. Our recommendations have served as a key input into the organisation´s decision-making process regarding the next phase of the project.

Project Recovery

August 2006

Nearshore Project Recovery Mission
Adjugo has started a mission in May for the recovery of a major international project. This highly visible project suffered major delays, and progress was hard to measure.

Adjugo established better monitoring practices, introduced pair programming to enhance staff morale and introduce new programmers and improved the professional image of the project by better reporting to the customer.

The project is getting back on the rails, confidence is restored and the project has delivered the first stage to the customer.
