PMI is the internationally active North American Project Management Institute. They created and maintain the PMBoK, the Project Management Body of Knowledge. It contains a well written and thorough description of all processes that are relevant in project management.

More descriptive that PRINCE2, driven by customer requirements, with sponsors and stakeholders as main influencers.  The processes still need to be tailored to your organization.
