Business IT alignment diagnostic

If you can’t measure, you can’t manage. Therefore, a first step we usually recommend is an assessment of the current situation. Based on a series of interviews with key stakeholders in the enterprise, we assess the current level of maturity, for instance for IT Governance. We do this by using the Business-IT alignment module of our diagnostic tool Octant.

The results of the interviews are documented immediately during the interview in Octant. Based on the answers given, the scores and maturity are calculated, all visible from various angles. Octant contains all necessary functionality to identify deviations among the participants or groups of participants, attempts to explain them and creates the most accurate baseline model. The results by domain can be displayed on a radar chart and compared with the average performer from the benchmarking database.

The output of the assessment will be used to set up the roadmap and we can decide what the future state should look like using what-if analysis. We will have short term goals and long term goals so that we can get quick wins that will allow us to gain credibility in the enterprise. We will take advantage of the integrated modeling tool that will not only represent the future state, but also create the control dashboard that will be used to track progress over time.
