Agentic Transformation Lead (Senior) - Nxtport BV
Description
NxtPort is building the Outbound Release Platform to connect customs, shipping agents, terminals and logistics partners for goods release. The functionality replaces software due to be phased out in 2027. This creates a fixed deadline for delivery. ORP will be the first NxtPort project to adopt agentic engineering.
The Lead will establish a baseline of current team delivery with the product owner and tech lead. They will shape and steer adoption of agentic engineering while the team continues delivering. The change includes developers, the product owner, the analyst, the tester and leadership. After each sprint, the Lead will report progress, quality, adoption and cost versus value to the steering committee.
After two months, the Lead will provide an evidence-based recommendation for extending the approach to other teams. The assignment runs from 1 December 2026 to 28 February 2027 at two days per week onsite in Antwerp. Applicants need technical leadership and experience guiding at least two AI-assisted or agentic development transitions during live delivery. Submission requires a consultant for both team positions and prior acceptance of the NxtPort supplier agreement.

Detailed Responsibilities and Skills
General skills
- At least two engagements guiding software teams towards AI-assisted or agentic software development during ongoing delivery.
- Experience reporting the impact of a change programme to a steering committee or executive management.
- Experience measuring team results against an initial baseline.
- At least five years as a software architect or in a comparable technical leadership role.
- Fluent Dutch; the language section specifies native or bilingual proficiency.
- Senior Digital Transformation Manager experience, most recently practised this year (2026).
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Willingness to undergo a security screening, stated as necessary for the sector in which NxtPort operates.
- Experience in the port, maritime or logistics sector.
- Experience training entire teams with all roles together.
