Description
Elia Group is a key European transmission system operator supporting reliable and sustainable electricity supply in Belgium and Germany. Within its Digital Workplace domain, the consultant will help govern software, SaaS solutions and licenses across the organization. The mission contributes to a sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure while working alongside contingent workers and internal staff.
The consultant will act as the central owner for software governance process execution and monitoring. The role covers software and SaaS intake, approval controls, inventory data quality, license management and optimization, stakeholder coordination, reporting and documentation. It combines operational rigor with a pragmatic approach that balances governance control and business agility.
The consultant will coordinate business teams, Digital Workplace, architects, information security and data protection, procurement and vendor management, and other IT teams. The work includes KPI tracking, usage analysis, cost optimization, governance transparency and integration with procurement and tender processes. Continuous improvement, structured follow-up and clear communication across business, IT and governance are central to successful delivery.

- Fluent spoken, read and written English.
- Fluent spoken, read and written French or Dutch.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in IT Governance.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in IT License Management.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in Software/SaaS coordination.
- Strong stakeholder coordination skills across multiple domains.

Technical skills
- Strong understanding of software/SaaS intake and approval processes.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks and compliance topics including GDPR, vendor risk and security review.
- Proven experience with license management or usage monitoring.
Tools
- Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence and SharePoint.
Nice-to-have general skills
- Experience in a regulated or international environment.
- Knowledge of ITIL or service management best practices.
- Exposure to AI governance or the EU AI Act.
Nice-to-have technical skills
- Experience with SaaS lifecycle management.
