Description

BNP Paribas Fortis is reinforcing the Product Owner chapter within the Marketing & Communication department. The mission supports the transformation towards a more agile and effective MarCom organization. As Product Owner, you will work with a squad and stakeholders to translate the MarCom strategy into clear priorities, actions, and initiatives. You will ensure alignment between customer needs, internal stakeholder expectations, and business objectives. The assignment is based in Brussels with a hybrid working model.

You will capture marketing and communication needs and translate the annual MarCom plan into a structured squad backlog, in close collaboration with the cluster lead and MarCom strategist. You will prioritize backlog items based on customer needs, strategic and commercial objectives, and practical constraints such as limited resources or tight deadlines. You will ensure objectives are fully clear and stable before the squad starts a MarCom initiative. You will safeguard backlog consistency and the structure of each sprint. Your approach will enable efficient delivery in a fast-changing environment.

You will monitor the backlog and track progress, speed, and team performance over time. You will organize regular business reviews and lookbacks to evaluate achievements, learn from outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement. You will foster a feedback culture and continuous improvement while embracing scrum values such as focus, openness, respect, and courage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential to navigate trade-offs and support decision-making. The role requires excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management in a multilingual setting.
