The assignment is within the Federal Judicial Police, a specialized organization focused on fighting organized crime, including cybercrime, terrorism, serious crime and drug trafficking. The role combines managerial and technical responsibilities in a critical operational environment. The steering committee will support key technical and managerial decisions.

During an initial four-to-six-month phase, the main focus will be maintenance and migration of a Windows legacy application used for investigation management and drafting official reports. The consultant will understand the existing solution, propose technical stabilization improvements, and ensure compatibility with upcoming Windows versions. In parallel, the consultant will support the launch of a new web-based Case Management platform for international police cooperation. After the legacy migration, the main focus will move to the new platform while maintenance and support of the legacy application continue until full replacement.

The new solution will use modern microservices and micro-frontend architecture and will be containerized, highly available and scalable. The Project Manager will oversee backend and frontend development, testing, source control, technical documentation, DevOps and deployment pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code. The role includes managing priorities, deadlines, Scrum ceremonies and project progress reporting according to steering committee milestones.
