Functional Analyst - SMALS
Description
SMALS is looking for a senior functional analyst to reinforce existing teams in a major business transformation program. The consultant will join a department of about 90 people working on the hand-over, refactoring and greenfield development of business applications. The role spans all phases of a project and operates in an Agile environment. It requires close engagement with business, project and technical stakeholders.
The analyst will identify, analyze, describe and validate existing business processes as well as new functional and non-functional user needs. Requirements must be translated into functional analyses and application designs, then aligned with technical team members and translated toward technical specifications. The consultant follows delivery end to end and produces documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Collaboration with business analysts, developers and project managers is central to refining and validating solutions.
Key deliverables include analysis documentation, software requirements specifications with diagrams and analysis, a data model, user stories, and test plans and cases. The role requires strong functional and business analysis, communication, abstraction, customer orientation and the ability to work in changing business contexts while supervising juniors. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and technical language around APIs, mappings, business models, batches and services is required. The mission is full time in Brussels with hybrid homeworking possible three days per week.
