bpost group is transforming its digital landscape, with the Group Value Delivery Office owning the group's Digital and IT investment and value delivery system. Its remit includes IT budget and portfolio governance, stage-gate investment decisions, efficiency management, strategic sourcing and partner governance, and performance and value assurance. The Senior IT Sourcing & Efficiency Lead will work directly with the Director of this office. The assignment sits at the intersection of strategic sourcing, IT finance and executive decision support.
A central objective is to drive a strategic multi-tower IT RFP from preparation through evaluation and recommendation. The consultant will shape sourcing strategy, tower scope, service and operating models, commercial structures, requirements, service levels, KPIs, pricing templates, transition and exit requirements. The role also coordinates IT domain leads, architecture, security, Finance, Legal and Procurement while keeping the RFP plan on track. Supplier evaluation, TCO comparisons, business cases, sourcing risks and executive decision materials are key parts of the work.
The second major objective is to turn IT efficiency ideas into validated, quantified and trackable savings. This includes structuring savings levers, establishing a credible IT cost baseline with Finance, quantifying savings and translating them into an actionable plan with owners, milestones and KPIs. Realised savings must be tracked against targets, with deviations and corrective actions reported to senior stakeholders. Success requires senior presence, financial rigour, hands-on delivery, negotiation capability and discretion with confidential commercial information.

General skills
- 10+ years of experience in IT sourcing, IT strategy, IT cost optimisation or IT vendor management in a large organisation or consulting role.
- Proven track record leading or playing a key role in large, multi-tower IT outsourcing or strategic partner RFPs from strategy through selection and negotiation.
- Demonstrated experience delivering IT cost-reduction or efficiency programmes with measurable, tracked results.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Fluent English.
- Good knowledge of at least one local language: Dutch or French.
- Senior presence with ability to challenge and influence IT, Finance and business stakeholders and suppliers.
- Structured, results-driven and hands-on, with ability to deliver under tight timelines.
- Strong negotiation, facilitation and executive communication skills.
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential commercial information.
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of IT service towers: application development and maintenance, infrastructure and cloud, workplace, and service desk.
- Strong knowledge of related commercial and pricing models.
- Strong financial and analytical skills covering cost baselining, TCO, business cases and savings tracking.
- Knowledge of contract structures, SLAs, governance models, transition and exit management.
Tools
- Advanced Excel.
Preferred skills
- Sourcing, procurement or IT financial management certifications such as CIPS, IAOP COP, FinOps or ITIL are an advantage.
- Experience in logistics, postal, transport or ecommerce.
- Experience with global capability centres or offshore delivery models, ideally in India.
- Experience in a multi-entity group environment with a central Digital or IT function.
