Questions / Mandatory Exercise

Together with the CV, the candidate must submit the result of the exercise below. Not submitting an answer, or submitting answers that do not meet the requirements, will result in the candidate not being retained.

In a company, there are around one hundred employees with distinct roles: analysts, developers, testers and project managers. This company carries out projects. For each project, one analyst, three developers and two testers are required.

An employee can work on a project for a limited period, specific to each role in each project, but this period must be uninterrupted. The employee is always assigned full-time. The analyst must be present at the beginning of the project and the tester at the end. Developers must be present before the analyst leaves, and testers must be present before development is finished.

When a new project is defined, the project manager must assemble the team. The project manager knows that a certain number of working days will be required for each role. The project manager must be able to find available resources, reserve them and define the start and end dates of the project.

Please document the process “Plan a new project”. Please also define the data model related to this resource management process, using a diagram of your choice.
