Description
BNP Paribas Fortis is seeking an experienced Initiative Owner in Business Continuity within its BCM & CI department. Business Continuity Management anticipates and supports crisis situations that could interrupt essential bank operations or harm the bank's image. The function contributes to organizational and operational resilience so critical banking services remain available at acceptable predefined levels during major disruptions. The consultant will support continuous enhancement of the BCM framework and strategic improvement initiatives.
The consultant will lead and deliver multiple BCM transformation and improvement projects focused on the efficiency, effectiveness and maturity of the Business Continuity Management System. The role is explicitly hands-on and includes personally delivering validated solutions. It also covers simplification of BCM processes, reduction of administrative burden and improvement of stakeholder experience. Existing processes and deliverables, including Business Recovery Plans, will be reviewed and pragmatically improved.
The role requires extensive coordination with BCM & CI colleagues and multiple stakeholders to gather requirements and maintain alignment. The consultant will facilitate workshops, formalize objectives and milestones, coordinate activities, report status and manage project risks, dependencies and issues. They will act as the primary contact for projects under their responsibility and support change management and communications to drive adoption. The assignment is based in Brussels with 50% work from home and runs from 14 September 2026 through 12 March 2027.
