Description

VITO is seeking a Project Manager Security & Defence to support the Flemish Innovation and Industrial Strategy for Security and Defence. The role bridges innovation and operational deployment. It coordinates strategic initiatives across government, industry and research. The focus is on delivering resilient defence capabilities.

The project manager leads multidisciplinary projects from initiation to implementation. Responsibilities include planning, governance, budgeting, stakeholder management and operational translation. The role also supports funding initiatives and consortium building. Quality and risk management are integral.

The assignment runs from August 2026 until the end of 2027 with hybrid work possible. Candidates need strong project management experience in regulated or defence environments. Dutch at C2 level is mandatory and English is required. Security clearance is a suspensive condition.
