Description
ETNIC, the IT operator of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, is looking for an Expert Solution Architect for its Middleware service within the Infrastructure department. The consultant will work under the supervision of the team manager. The mission centers on the GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer platform and its technical and solution architecture. The environment supports public-sector information systems and technological infrastructure.
The architect will design and evolve the MFT architecture, including clustering, gateways, PROD/NON-PROD separation, and database and storage replication. The role also defines security, encryption, and access rules while ensuring regulatory and standards compliance. Complex exchange flows must be functionally and technically modelled and validated across workflows, scripts, APIs, connectors, and forms. The architect will also arbitrate when MFT or web services/APIs are the appropriate integration approach.
A further focus is the migration of dispersed historical flows into the target environment. The consultant will establish the migration strategy and lead communication and training for project teams and internal partners. The assignment is full-time and hybrid, with at least 50% mandatory presence at the Brussels office. The mission is conducted exclusively in French and runs from 15 October 2026 through 30 July 2027.

- Expert-level transfer protocol knowledge: SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, PeSIT, REST API and SOAP.
- Expert-level security and cryptography knowledge covering SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys and PKI management.
- Design and evolution of MFT architecture including clustering, gateways, PROD/NON-PROD separation, database replication and storage replication.
- Definition of security, encryption and access rules with standards and regulatory compliance.
- Functional and technical design of complex exchange flows using workflows, scripts, APIs, connectors and forms.
- Ability to arbitrate between MFT and Web Services/APIs.
