Description
The Federal Police is looking for a Junior Business Analyst for its ANPR programme within the Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI). The primary focus is the traffic workstream and the Gatso Device Management (GDM/Speedmaster) project. This project aims to ensure the connection between dynamic speed signs and fixed speed cameras. The analyst will work in a technically complex and operationally sensitive police environment.
The assignment covers analysis of the current server usage, camera infrastructure and existing software solutions, followed by support in defining the target situation. The analyst will define and document requirements, standards and processes and prepare detailed technical and functional design documents. Findings must be structured with attention to feasibility, timing, budget and dependencies. The role also supports a smooth transition of solutions and knowledge to the ANPR Run organisation.
The consultant will collaborate with project managers, key users, IT architects, data experts, functional analysts, software engineers and data protection experts. Responsibilities include progress reporting, risk and dependency identification, quality management, long-term ANPR vision development and regulatory awareness. The analyst will also provide input for DPIAs and risk analyses and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The environment is multidisciplinary, hybrid and combines internal and external team members.

- At least three years of hands-on experience in business analysis and/or guiding ICT projects.
- Proven experience working in complex IT environments for government agencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to structure large quantities of information, summarise neutrally and draw sharp conclusions.
- Attention to detail while retaining the overall picture.
- Native Dutch or French, with strong passive knowledge of the other Belgian national language for bilingual meetings and documentation.
- Active knowledge of English.
