1. Description

bpost is looking for an experienced freelance Change Manager to support a transformation initiative within its ICT environment in Brussels. In this role, you take ownership of communicating and embedding the change narrative across the organization. You ensure that transformation messages move beyond leadership discussions and are clearly understood by operational teams. Your work ensures that stakeholders understand the vision, objectives and practical implications of the transformation. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex change initiatives into clear messages for diverse audiences.

You will guide change sprints and closely monitor engagement levels throughout the organization. By maintaining continuous contact with teams, you detect early signals of resistance or uncertainty and proactively address them. The role involves collaborating with change agents, internal change teams and project stakeholders to maintain momentum during the transformation. Communication cadence, alignment rituals and consistent messaging are key elements of your approach. Your goal is to ensure the transformation is both understood and embraced by the business.

In addition, you collect insights that help shape the roadmap, priorities and rhythm of the transformation journey. You evaluate organizational readiness and ensure that the pace of change remains manageable for the business. This includes monitoring cognitive load and identifying risks early in the process. You will regularly communicate with senior stakeholders and contribute strategic insights to the transformation program. Experience with similar large-scale change environments, public sector clients or bpost projects is considered a strong advantage.
