Description
BNP Paribas Fortis is launching a new anti-money laundering platform for several banks. The assignment needs an Expert IT Solution Architect to shape the architecture of this new platform. The architect will also support the teams responsible for implementation. The mission runs in Brussels from September 2026 through March 2027.
The architect will deliver the blueprint for the overall solution and incremental solution architecture files committed during quarterly agile planning. This work is coordinated with product owners, infrastructure architects and security architects under the guidance of the tribe lead architect. The role also participates in and advises studies, projects and assets involving architecture development or evolution. Both internally developed and packaged solutions must remain aligned with enterprise strategy.
The environment is strongly data-oriented, requiring experience with data platforms, data products and interoperability between analytical and operational environments. Active stakeholder management is central to ensuring architectural efficiency and impact across product owners, scrum masters, tribe management and analysts. English is the principal working language, with a good command of French or Dutch also requested. The work arrangement is evenly split between on-site work and homeworking.

Detailed Responsibilities and Skills
General skills
- At least 6 years of relevant IT solution architecture experience
- Solid IT background; relevant experience matters more than certification
- English is a key requirement and is the working language to a large extent
- Good command of French or Dutch

- Experience with interoperability between analytical and operational environments
- Experience in data virtualization (preferred)
