Infrastructure and network Architect (Expert) - BNP Paribas Fortis
Description
BNP Paribas Fortis is seeking an Expert Infrastructure and Network Architect for its Agile Production Services Technical Design Squad in Brussels. The team delivers and maintains critical infrastructure services with a strong focus on web applications and hosting. Its remit covers scalable architecture, standardized security assets, production stability and secure application integration. This is an external staff assignment scheduled for approximately one year with possible extension.
The architect will develop Detailed Technical Designs and expand enterprise Operational Process Architecture Documents. Work includes mapping application flows, dependencies and integration points while accounting for scalability and performance. The role also leads production incident investigations, analyzes logs and APM evidence, and proposes improvements. Performance benchmarking and capacity planning span WebSphere and cloud infrastructure.
The successful consultant will collaborate with project architects, engineers, developers, Security, Network and DevOps specialists. They will help evolve reusable reference architectures, validate designs and share technical best practices. The role also includes proactive monitoring, landscape optimization, resource efficiency and planned retirement of legacy components. A strong background in enterprise web hosting, web security, cloud and banking processes is essential.
