Description

SMALS is reinforcing its teams with a senior functional analyst in the context of a major business transformation program. The consultant will join a department of about 90 people working on the hand-over, refactoring and greenfield development of business applications. The role covers all phases of a project and operates in an Agile environment. The assignment is based in Brussels, directly in front of South Station.

The analyst will build long-term stakeholder relationships and identify, analyse, describe and validate existing business processes as well as new functional and non-functional user needs. Requirements must be translated into business solutions through functional analyses and application designs. The analyst will work with technical team members to validate functional designs and translate them into technical specifications. End-to-end follow-up of new functionalities and applications, together with complete project documentation, is part of the role.

Close cooperation with business analysts, developers and project managers is central to the assignment. The analyst will help refine and validate proposed solutions, report status, facilitate decisions, manage risks and escalate when needed. Deliverables include analysis documentation, software requirements specifications and diagrams, a data model, user stories, and test plans and cases.
