Product Owner – BNP Paribas Fortis (Brussels)

Description

BNP Paribas Fortis is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join the Customer Servicing & Efficiency tribe within the Transformation Office. The tribe focuses on improving operational efficiency and customer experience through highly automated workflows, remote servicing capabilities, and fraud protection solutions powered by technology and strategic collaboration. One of the clusters within the tribe is dedicated to automation and robotics solutions and currently manages a landscape of more than 200 bots across different entities of the bank. The assignment offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the future of automation within one of Europe’s leading banking institutions. You will work in a highly collaborative Agile environment where innovation and continuous improvement are central to the mission.

As Product Owner, you will act as the bridge between stakeholders, business teams, and IT, translating strategic objectives into actionable product delivery. You will define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, backlog priorities, and delivery objectives while ensuring alignment between all stakeholders involved. Together with the Scrum Master, you will guide the squad and ensure a shared understanding of quarterly goals, sprint objectives, and delivery priorities. The role includes ownership of Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog management, and stakeholder communication. You will also contribute to defining KPIs and OKRs while continuously optimizing product quality and business value delivery.

The ideal candidate combines strong Agile product ownership capabilities with experience in automation and digital transformation initiatives. Functional understanding of automation technologies such as BluePrism is essential to facilitate interactions with architects, developers, and technical experts. The role requires excellent communication, leadership, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills within a complex banking environment.
