Program Manager Expert - BNP Paribas Fortis

BNP Paribas Fortis is seeking an Expert Program Manager to manage a set of related IT projects required to achieve a business objective. The role provides program-level decision-making across projects and aligns management, stakeholders, project managers and organizational interests. The Program Manager is accountable for keeping the program on time and within budget while ensuring objectives are achieved. The assignment is based in Brussels and runs from 31 August 2026 through 30 June 2027.

The Program Manager will agree program objectives, monitor individual projects and provide project managers with the wider program perspective. The role manages cross-project dependencies, risks and issues and acts as a sounding board when project problems have wider program impact. It also includes program cost estimation and follow-up, stakeholder reporting, sponsorship of projects and participation in steering committees. The Program Manager serves as an escalation path and foresees budgets for the projects within the program.

The profile requires at least 10 years of relevant Program Manager experience and proven management of complex projects or programs. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, organizational insight and familiarity with IT systems are mandatory. Experience with data migration, data mesh and reporting-tools rationalization is explicitly required, alongside strategic thinking, communication, diplomacy, commercial awareness and people-management skills. The working model is hybrid, with an expectation of 50% on site and 50% homeworking.
