Description

The Senior Project Manager will lead end-to-end regulatory initiatives across Athora Belgium’s life insurance products, systems and processes. The role covers projects driven by evolving requirements such as Solvency II, IDD, ESG and AML. The consultant will bridge business, compliance and IT while also coordinating legal and actuarial stakeholders. Delivery must remain compliant, efficient and customer-centric.

The mission includes regulatory impact assessments, implementation roadmaps and adaptations to products, processes and systems. The Project Manager will define plans, timelines, budgets and resource needs, then monitor regulatory deadlines through implementation. Expected outputs also include updated product specifications, customer documentation, compliant process flows and system configurations. Project dashboards, risk logs, stakeholder reports and post-implementation lessons learned are part of the delivery.

The profile requires proven project or product management experience in life insurance or financial services and strong knowledge of Belgian and EU regulatory frameworks. The consultant must be able to translate complex regulation into practical solutions, manage stakeholders and drive change across departments. Agile and Waterfall familiarity, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, resilience and independent working are expected. French and professional English are required, while Dutch and a project management certification are advantages.
