Description

bpost is seeking an autonomous Senior Cloud Engineer for its new Lockers Platform. The engineer will design, automate, and scale the core AWS environment. The mission connects central cloud services with physical lockers deployed on-site. Reliability, security, performance, monitoring, and cost-efficiency are central priorities.

The engineer will own the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle and deploy AWS architecture using Terraform. Responsibilities include high availability, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and observability. The role also covers deployment automation, CI/CD support, regulatory compliance, proactive patching, and cloud cost optimization. Collaboration with software teams and clear architecture and workflow documentation form part of the assignment.

The profile requires at least five years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps and five years of hands-on AWS work. Offshore candidates require at least ten years in Cloud Operations, Infrastructure, and Platform Engineering. The assignment is full-time, five days and forty hours weekly, with at least two to three office days at Brussels HQ. The listed dates are 19 October 2026 to 31 January 2027; the separate approximate mid-October joining condition is retained and needs confirmation because both starting references precede processing on 23 October 2026.
