Senior Program Manager - SMALS (Evere)

Description

Belgian Defence is establishing a new CIS Program Management Office to support the delivery of multiple strategic infrastructure and capability programmes over the coming years. The selected consultant will play a key role in creating this PMO while coordinating the alignment of numerous internal IT Service Owners. This assignment directly contributes to the modernization of Defence's digital landscape.

The consultant will coordinate major infrastructure programmes such as Defence Headquarters and Kwartierplan 2.0 while ensuring governance, planning and stakeholder alignment. Success depends on strong programme management, executive communication and the ability to manage complex delivery environments involving multiple technical domains.

This long-term assignment is expected to continue until 2030 through annual renewals. Candidates should combine extensive IT management expertise with leadership experience, military or NATO exposure, and the ability to operate in classified environments.
