Architecte (Technical Architect)
Description
i-CITY is looking for a Senior Technical Architect to evolve an integration platform connecting multiple information systems. The environment combines Microsoft Azure, a private cloud, and legacy applications. The assignment also covers the evolution and maintenance of solutions already developed on this platform. The consultant will work in a technically rich environment spanning integration, cloud, data, and distributed systems.
The consultant will define the technical architectures of solutions built on the integration platform. Particular attention is given to Enterprise Data Management repositories, subscription mechanisms for Authentic Sources, and the GIS system. The environment includes Java, Spring, Quarkus, Kubernetes, Docker, WSO2, and multiple Azure services. REST, SOAP, SOA, microservices, event-driven architectures, and related security mechanisms are part of the scope.
The assignment also includes leading a development team during implementations. The consultant will personally contribute to the development of all or part of the solutions, their documentation, and technical analyses. Deliverables include High Level Designs, technical architecture designs, and technical analysis documents. Knowledge transfer will be provided through handover and developer coaching.

General skills
- At least 10 years of experience in technical architecture for integration solutions.
- Recent experience within the last 12 months evolving an integration platform connecting Azure-hosted systems with private cloud or legacy applications.
- Proven experience architecting and implementing data repositories and subscription mechanisms for Authentic Sources.
- Proven experience implementing mapping systems, including points-of-interest repositories and isochrone calculations.
- Mastery of event-driven architecture in Microsoft Azure, including Topics, Queues, subscriptions, and distribution strategies.
- Mastery of compliance and data protection throughout the development lifecycle, with a GDPR-oriented approach.
- Dutch or French at native or bilingual proficiency.
- English at professional working proficiency.
- Public sector experience is preferred.
