Description

De Watergroep seeks an experienced senior OT Solution Architect to map and structure its existing OT landscape. The environment has evolved historically and contains multiple generations of technologies, brands and types. The purpose is to establish a reliable technical basis for defining the on-call service. The resulting architecture must show scope, complexity, dependencies, risks and the expertise needed to respond effectively to incidents.

The architect analyses existing documentation and validates information with internal staff, suppliers and other technical stakeholders. Targeted technical verification is required where existing information is incomplete, outdated or unreliable. The conceptual framework comprises Field Level, Control Level, Supervisory Level, Communication Level, Integration Level, Development & Configuration Level, and Access & Security Level. Architecture diagrams are produced in ArchiMate® at an abstraction level appropriate to diagnosis, intervention, recovery and escalation.

The architect reports to the Enterprise Architect and works closely with the Operations Systems and Process Automation Team (Team Exploitatie Systemen en Procesautomatisatie). The mission runs from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027 with a 55% work regime and an estimated 960 hours. Homeworking is possible, and workdays are agreed according to project needs and may vary weekly. The location is listed as Centrale Directie without a city, and candidate selection weights quality and price equally.

  • Deliver a structured overview of the existing OT landscape according to the agreed architecture layers.
  • Deliver an inventory of relevant OT technologies, devices and assets with characteristics needed for incident response.
  • Deliver ArchiMate® diagrams showing key systems, communication links, integrations and technical dependencies.
