Description
The Product Owner joins BNP Paribas Fortis within the Cash Management Competence Center and the Payments Tribe, working on the SEPA Direct Debit squad. The role operates in a group-level environment supporting the Corporate Cash Management franchise. It covers the creditor and debtor sides of SEPA Direct Debit, PSP clients, and connectivity with multiple Clearing and Settlement Houses. Collaboration spans local product management teams and other Product Owners working on products such as SEPA Credit Transfer and International Payments.
The Product Owner is accountable for developing and delivering products and services on time and to the required quality standards. The role prioritizes work, creates delivery plans, manages the backlog, plans iterations, and elaborates user stories. It also participates actively in refinement of OPUS and Features, determines value, and prioritizes user stories for maximum value delivery. Objectives and results are defined and tracked while stakeholder needs and squad priorities are actively managed.
The assignment requires an expert profile with at least seven years of relevant experience, strong Payments and Receivables knowledge, agile expertise, and project management capability. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, and structured-working skills are expected. English plus Dutch or French is required, together with a Master's degree or equivalent experience. The Brussels-based assignment runs from 2 November 2026 to 30 June 2027, expects a 50% onsite and 50% homeworking split, and may involve occasional travel to Paris or Lisbon.
