Description

The Federal Police's Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI) leads information management standards and police information and communication systems. Its ANPR ecosystem uses intelligent cameras to recognize number plates and compare them with existing data, including stolen or reported vehicles and access restrictions. The Traffic workstream plays a crucial role in improving operational effectiveness and road safety. The GDM project concerns Gatso Device Manager, also known as Speedmanager.

As Expert IT Project Manager, you will scope, plan, execute and track the GDM project and its budget. You will work closely with business analysts to assess the current situation, define the desired future state and develop an actionable transition plan. You will build a shared vision for managing fixed speed cameras and mobile radars within the sensor ecosystem. You will coordinate internal police stakeholders and external partners while keeping decisions, risks and progress transparent.

The assignment includes project governance, quality management, monitoring, change communication and support for user training. You will help establish procedures and documentation for collaboration with the Federal Police's RUN organization and remain available during post-implementation hypercare. The team is multidisciplinary and combines internal and external staff. The Brussels-based engagement is full-time and hybrid, with at least two office days per week and a possible extension beyond December 2026.
