Description
The Senior IT Project Manager leads projects from initiation through closure while ensuring objectives, deadlines, costs, and quality are met. The consultant defines scope, objectives, deliverables, and schedules with stakeholders. They develop and maintain the project plan and associated resource, risk, communication, and quality plans. They also ensure projects remain aligned with business needs and organizational priorities.
The assignment has a strong coordination and governance dimension. The consultant gathers and formalizes requirements, communicates with sponsors, clients, business teams, and technical teams, and facilitates meetings, steering committees, and workshops. They plan internal and external resources, monitor risks, assumptions, and dependencies, and manage change requests. They also contribute to defining external service needs, monitor suppliers and consultants, and control deliverable quality and contractual commitments.
The role also covers KPI monitoring, management reporting, and budget control. The consultant maintains project documentation and decision traceability, applies i-CITY project management methodologies and processes, and contributes to lessons learned. The requested profile is senior, with more than 15 years of project and program management experience and expert skills in change, resources, risks, and continuous improvement. The assignment is full-time and hybrid, with at least two days per week on site in Brussels.

- Experience implementing Plan-Build-Run governance.
- Experience supporting an executive committee in prioritizing a strategic project portfolio.
- Experience leading transformations in the public sector.
- Proven experience implementing and leading PMOs at organizational, strategic, and operational levels.
- Full-time availability.
- Minimum two days per week on site in Brussels.
- Dutch: professional working proficiency.
- English: full professional proficiency.
- French: native or bilingual proficiency.
