Description

The Federal Pensions Service is looking for an experienced Security Project Manager to deliver and monitor ICT security projects within the broader NIS2 security programme. The objective is to bring the organization to the required NIS2 Essentials compliance level by April 2027. You will control planning, budget, quality and risks throughout project delivery. The assignment is based in Brussels in a hybrid working environment.

You will manage end-to-end project follow-up, from detailed planning and progress reporting to communication between all parties involved. You will lead the service transition of delivered security solutions into operational status, including the operational plan, support, processes and procedures. You will also ensure timely delivery, centralization and quality control of evidence and documentation for compliance, audit readiness and programme reporting. Change management and communication are integral parts of the assignment.

The role requires at least eight years of project management experience and demonstrable security expertise across at least three relevant IT security domains. Experience or certification in PRINCE2 and security frameworks such as NIS2, ISO27001 or NIST is required. You will combine technology leadership with strong organizational, communication and coaching skills. You will work closely with management, business units, teams and project staff while motivating and coordinating them throughout delivery.

Technical skills

  • Have previously documented infrastructure solutions designed by architects and analysts and implemented by operational staff.
  • Have security project management experience in an active role as Project Manager, engineer or another function.
  • Have active experience in at least three IT security domains, potentially including network security, endpoint security, IAM, Central Logging, DLP, DRP, PIM, PAM, Threat Modelling, database anonymization and secure development.
  • Have a technical background or sound conceptual knowledge of at least three relevant security systems.
  • Have experience managing ICT or security projects.
  • Be able to apply project management methodologies.
  • Have certification in or demonstrable experience with PRINCE2 or other project management frameworks.
  • Have experience or certification in NIS2, ISO27001, NIST or another security framework.
  • Have proven experience and/or certification with security frameworks such as NIS2, ISO27001, NIST or DORA.

Nice to have

  • Project management experience preferably supported by a certification.
